Board of Trustees | Public Cord Blood Bank

Standing behind the "Bedomayich Chayi" organization is a board of trustees. This public committee is committed to strengthening the link between the public and the cord blood bank, and to promoting the organization's goals.

Among other things, the committee helps to expand the collaboration of "Bedomayich Chayi" with medical, scientific, and research teams. It also widens the organization's circle of friends and is involved in raising funds. Besides members actively involved in the organization, the committee includes public figures involved in diverse professional fields. All the members in the board of trustees are dedicated to the following goals:

1. Linking up with other people and organizations and working with them to advance medical and scientific research, and to expand the use of cord blood for the benefit of all mankind.

2. To recruit leaders and molders of public opinion among different communities and groups and use their help to increase the collection of cord blood among groups for whom cord blood is currently in short supply.

3. To gain more friends for the organization and encourage philanthropists and benefactors to finance the activities of the "Bedomayich Chayi" public cord blood bank.

4. To raise public awareness and expand available information sources about cord blood for the public benefit.

The organization focuses on collecting cord blood among communities in state of Israel, because the greatest chance of finding compatible stem cells for transplant to a patient - is among donors of similar ancestry. Due to the relatively small population in Israel, that represents some ethnic minority groups, people suffer from a critical shortage of suitable, matching donors. But firm in the belief that every person is of supreme value, the "Bedomayich Chayi" organization acts with all the means at its disposal to provide readily available and high quality cord blood for anyone in the world who needs a stem cell donation. In accordance to the principles and standards of the international medical community, we pay no regard to a person's origin, race, religion, or sex.

The Public Committee is convinced that the development and expansion of our public cord blood bank is essential for the continued existence and health of the Israeli public and for the benefit of all mankind. With this conviction, the members of the committee call upon anyone with influence, will, and ability, to work for the development of the "Bedomayich Chayi" public cord blood bank. Come and join our life saving venture!

The public cord blood bank "Bedomayich Chayi" was founded as a humanitarian universal voluntary organization. Our goal is to provide bone marrow transplants to those who are not represented by public international cord blood banks. In addition, we provide a parent's guide with all the necessary information about the cord blood and its donation. All data is for informative purposes only. A doctor should be consulted for medical guidance.
