A few different bodies have come together to establish a public cord blood bank – "Bedomaich Chayi" – 'by your blood you shall live'. Amongst them are:

• Hospitals, where the cord blood is gathered.

• Partnering labs that test the cord blood donations and doctors and experts who advise and help us along the way.

• And various people and organizations who support the effort and assist its progress.

Naturally, at the heart of all the efforts are the mothers who donate the cord blood immediately after giving birth.  Alas, many queries from mothers and their sincere wish to donate and assist us in our efforts must go unheeded for the lack of funds to collect, process, and store the life-giving blood.

This is why those special individuals, visionaries, people of action and institutes who financially support our efforts in founding and enlarging the blood bank are so vital.  Every donation helps us progress further and reach ever closer to our goal.  Because every donation allows us to gather more cord blood donations - and every cord blood donation added to the bank gives a chance to more and more people.

Operating costs are astronomical and 'Bedomaich Chayi' is funded by private donations only. Your contribution goes a long way to helping us and giving others a chance at life.

Collection, processing and freezing of every blood donation comes to a total cost of $ 1300 !!! per unit.
