The function of the Bedomaich Chayi Cord Blood Bank
Cord blood donations are collected in the Bikur Cholim hospital and in the Shaare Zedek medical center, both in Jerusalem. Bedomaich Chayi employs professional, trained staff to collect the cord blood in delivery rooms around the clock.
All cord blood in the Bedomaich Chayi bank is collected, processed, tested and typed in accordance with national and international standards, and listed in the BMDW through the Hadassah bone-marrow and cord-blood registry. The Hadassah registry lists cord-blood units from the Bedomaich Chayi cord-blood bank and from the MDA public cord-blood bank.
